Biography

Dr. Gurpreet Singh is an associate professor and associate dean (international collaborations) at Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP). He has been pursuing research on issues of agriculture, rural employment, and the political economy of development. His recent work is on the public financing and policy issues of the agriculture sector, and structural transformation of the rural economy with a focus on Punjab and Bihar. He has been working with farmers’ communities and policy makers during his current and previous assignments. Prior to his role at JSGP, he has been associated with the prestigious research institutions and policy think tanks in India and abroad. He also held a position of Post-Doctoral fellow with the University of Cambridge.
