Biography

Dr. Krishanu Karmakar is an Associate Professor at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy at the OP Jindal Global University. He completed his Ph.D. in Public Policy from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at the Georgia State University and Ivan Allege College of Arts at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his M.A. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. His research interests lie in the areas of Public Finance, Development, and Dynamics of Policy Change. His current research focusses on the studying Indian budget making from the perspective of theories of budgeting, and analysis of healthcare choices made by people in the face of limited government expenditure on health facilities. He teaches courses in Public Finance, Microeconomics, Statistics, Econometrics, and Data Analysis.
