JGLS’s Office of Career Services (OCS) provides students with career mentoring and counseling through JGLS faculty members from various areas of practice to help students explore different career paths and choose the right one. OCS offers a range of programmes, training, and resources to prepare students for success in their careers, including internships and placement opportunities facilitated through multiple collaborations and MoUs.
The OCS conducts workshops, guest lectures, industry talks, and field visits throughout the year to help students sharpen their skills, gain industry intelligence, and access career opportunities. These programmes are available to students at every stage of their law school journey, including training and career opportunities for JGLS alumni.
JGLS’s placements are a result of various career development activities undertaken during a law student’s time at the school. These activities begin in the penultimate year with the ‘Zero Day Placement Event’, organized for top corporate law firms, foreign law firms, and selected corporates. The larger recruitment drive takes place in the final year, with on and off-campus hiring by corporate firms, NGOs, and law firms, totaling around 40-50 organizations engaging with the Office of Career Services (OCS) for hiring.
