Niti Saṅkṣepa: Policy Brief is a policy brief series edited by Prof. Husain Aanis Khan, Assistant Professor, IIHEd. Niti Saṅkṣepa seeks to serve two primary objectives: first, to inform relevant stakeholders about pressing issues concerning Indian higher education; and second, to propose evidence-based solutions to these challenges. The intended audience of this policy brief series includes the political branches of the State—particularly the legislature and the executive. We hope that each contribution will identify significant issues and advance thoughtful, practical recommendations grounded in rigorous research and a deep understanding of the higher education sector.
All contributions to Niti Saṅkṣepa: Policy Brief will be authored by members of the O.P. Jindal Global University community. While the primary audience is policymakers and public institutions, the series will also be of value to academics, lawyers, judges, and other stakeholders engaged in higher education and public policy.
By fostering informed discussion and contributing to evidence-based policymaking, these stakeholders play an important role in improving law and governance, whether directly or indirectly.
