The International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building (IIHED), in collaboration with the Office of Doctoral Studies (ODS) at O.P. Jindal Global University, successfully organized a two-day academic workshop titled “Building a Scholarly Identity: Research Development, Publication Strategies, and Academic Careers” on 27–28 November 2025 at the Imaginarium, Savitri Jindal Faculty Office Block.
The workshop was facilitated by Rashida Banerjee, Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning Sciences at the Morgridge College of Education, University of Denver, USA. Over the course of two days, the workshop engaged faculty members and doctoral scholars in discussions on developing a scholarly research agenda, navigating academic publishing, and building sustainable academic careers. Participants had the opportunity to reflect on their research trajectories, learn about publication strategies, and explore ways of strengthening their scholarly identities within the global academic landscape.
The workshop served as an important platform for academic engagement and mentorship, fostering dialogue on research development and career pathways in academia.

The centre director, Dr Mousumi Mukherjee will be partnering with Dr Nira Rehman and Dr Callum Reid, Arts Teaching Innovation, University of Melbourne, Australia to facilitate an overview of the project at JGU campus on 18th November 2025 and the masterclass and the workshop at Melbourne Global Centre in Delhi at 19th and 20th November 2025. This activity was funded by the Melbourne Global Centre Activity Grant. It directly aligns with the Melbourne Global Centre (MGC) Delhi and Centre for Comparative and Global Education, IIHEd's goals by strengthening engagement and education activities that, in the long term, also open pathways for sustained research collaboration and institutional partnership around teaching and learning.

The Principals’ Conclave 2024, titled “School Leadership to Nurture Global Citizens,” was held on 30 November 2024at O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat, followed by engagements on 1 December 2024 at Jindal International Academy, Delhi. The conclave brought together school leaders, educators, and academic experts to reflect on the evolving role of school leadership in preparing students to become responsible and engaged global citizens.
Inspired by the vision outlined in the National Education Policy 2020, the discussions focused on how schools can nurture constitutional values, social responsibility, and global awareness through curriculum, pedagogy, and leadership practices. Participants explored the meaning of global citizenship, the importance of global competencies in the 21st century, and the ways in which Indian traditions and histories can inform globally oriented education. The conclave opened with an address by C. Rajkumar and featured thematic sessions led by scholars and education practitioners. The event served as a valuable platform for dialogue and reflection, encouraging school leaders to consider strategies for nurturing globally aware and socially responsible citizens in an increasingly interconnected world.
