Biography

Lavish Dudeja is an Associate Professor of Practice at the International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building (IIHED), O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). He also serves as Associate Dean (Academic Governance) and Director, Office of IT Governance and Digital Infrastructure at JGU.

He holds an MSc in Education (Higher Education) from the University of Oxford, where he was an Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholar at Worcester College. His academic interests lie in higher education governance, institutional differentiation, regulatory frameworks, digital and AI governance, and the role of data and technology infrastructures in shaping contemporary universities.

At O.P. Jindal Global University, he previously served as Deputy Registrar, where he was closely involved in academic administration, regulatory compliance, data governance, and institutional processes, gaining sustained exposure to the governance of a large, multidisciplinary university.

Prior to his university‑level roles, he worked with the Ministry of Education, Government of India, contributing to education policy analysis and system‑level reforms, including work related to the National Education Policy (2020). Earlier, he was engaged full‑time in the design and implementation of quality vocational education and skills development initiatives, working with State Governments on programme architecture, information systems, and policy‑aligned monitoring frameworks.

He has been associated with academic and research environments in India and the United Kingdom, including the Centre for Global Higher Education and the AI in Education at Oxford University (AIEOU) Hub, University of Oxford, and professional academic roles at the University of Birmingham.
