Biography

Husain is an Assistant Professor at IIHEd, O P Jindal Global University. He completed his Master of Laws on prestigious Alex Chernov Scholarship from Melbourne Law School in 2023. At Melbourne Law School, he also worked as an ARS Research Assistant Grade 1. He assisted various academics at the law school. And before leaving for Melbourne, he worked at India's foremost think tank Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy. At Vidhi, he advised various Ministeries in the Government of India. Other than engagement with the government, he founded Vidhi Access to Legal Education (VALE) Fellowship. VALE Fellowship works towards mentoring law students from non-privileged backgrounds. Husain also completed a short stint at Mission Accessibility as Vertical Lead (Strategic Internvention) where he co-founded their flagship project called Project RPwD Generation. Husain has written for top national dailies such as The Hindu, The Indian Express, The Quint, The Wire, and so on. He has also delivered lectures in law schools across India. Husain completed his BA, LLB (Hons) from Jamia Millia Islamia in 2021.
