Biography

Dr. Gauri Khanna is a Lecturer at the International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building, OP Jindal Global University where she is engaged in teaching, research, and academic capacity-building in the field of higher education. Her work is anchored in an interdisciplinary focus on gender, higher education, and intersectionality, with particular attention to institutional cultures and knowledge production.

Dr. Khanna’s research draws on feminist methodologies, narrative inquiry, and community-based research approaches to foreground the lived experiences of women and other marginalised groups within higher education. Her scholarly interests include women in higher education and STEM, academic work and careers, policy processes, and socially responsive research practices.

She has served as a Research Lead and Co-ordinator with the UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education for an IDRC Canada–funded project, contributing to research design, coordination, and knowledge dissemination.
