IIHEd organized The WUS-2021 virtually from 21-23 July 2021. It focused on the theme “Universities of the Future: Building Institutional Resilience, Social Responsibility and Community Impact”. Over 3 Days, 150+ thought leaders from 25+ countries from all 6 continents came together and shared their perspectives during 29 Thematic Sessions & Special Dialogues. The university leaders who joined as experts came from 100+ top-universities and included 31 Vice Chancellors, 21 Provosts, Deputy/Associate/Executive Vice Chancellors & Vice/Associate Provosts, 28 Presidents & Rectors, and 25 Deputy/Vice/Executive/ Presidents & Rectors. The conference also saw 5 Distinguished Public Lectures & Keynote Addresses.
Society of Transnational Academic Researchers (STAR) 2021 Global Conference Organized virtually from 10-12 December 2021, the conference theme was “Higher Education for the Greater Good: Leadership and Institutional Resilience”. This was a refereed global academic conference conducted annually by the STAR Scholars Society. Over 500 participants from 37 countries participated in the conference and made presentations on 10+ themes and 5 roundtable discussion sessions. The participants came from diverse nationalities including Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam
Successfully organised the Jindal-Melbourne Joint Conference on "Envisioning Shared Futures of Education: Australia and India's Global Potential” on 18th-19th September 2023.
A delegation from the University of Melbourne visited JGU campus to speak on panel discussions, discuss the future research collaboration, and conduct a workshop titled "What is good teaching in higher education?" for PhD scholars and interested faculty members. The conference ended with a special lecture by Prof. Lindsay Oades, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Education and Professor of Wellbeing Science at The University of Melbourne on "Flourishing as the Purpose of Education." University of Melbourne and O.P. Jindal Global University will work collaboratively on Teacher Training workshops and develop a Master's program. It was also decided to jointly host the Jindal-Melbourne Annual Lecture every year.
IIHEd organized the World Universities Summit during February 2024. The conference was organized for 3 days, with the first two days online and an in-person Higher Education Leaders Conclave on the third day. During the inaugural session of the Higher Education Leaders Conclave, Emeritus Prof. Philip Altbach and founding director of the Boston College Center for International Higher Education delivered a keynote speech. Former Vice-Chancellor of the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi, Prof. N.V. Varghese also delivered a special address.
The International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building (IIHEd), in partnership with the Office of Doctoral Studies at Jindal Global University (JGU), hosted for the first time a two-day International Doctoral Education Conference titled "Into the Future of Doctoral Education" at JGU on December 9th and 10th. The conference was officially launched by Prof. (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, the Founding Vice Chancellor of JGU, who delivered the inaugural keynote address.
The two-day event also featured exhilarating 3-Minute Thesis presentations from doctoral scholars across different disciplines.
