Brigid Freeman, Australia-India Institute, University of Melbourne delivered the inaugural lecture of the Centre for Comparative and Global Education (CCGE) at the O.P. Jindal Global University on 13th April 2017 in collaboration with the Centre for India Australia Studies.
Brigid spoke on the topic “Good Practices in Institutional Policies: An International Comparative Perspective” based on her research in the United States, Australia and Papua New Guinea. There was lively discussions during the Q & A session moderated by the founding Executive Director of CCGE, Dr. Mousumi Mukherjee. Issues about colonial roots of comparative education and the problematics of “good practices” in diverse contexts where institutions operate, were discussed during the session by the participating faculty and PhD students of JGU with the speaker.
