Joint Conference on "Constitutionalism, the Rule of Law and Democratic Governance: Australian and Indian Perspectives” organised by Jindal Global Law School and University of New South Wales Law School


On 12 -13 November 2017, Jindal Global Law School and University of New South Wales Law School jointly hosted a conference on “Constitutionalism, the Rule of Law and Democratic Governance: Australian and Indian Perspectives” at O.P. Jindal Global University and India Habitat Centre. The Opening Remarks were made by Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor, O. P. Jindal Global University, Professor Shaun Star, Executive Director, CIAS and Assistant Dean, JGLS, Professor (Dr.) George Williams, Dean, UNSW Law School and Mr Laurie Pearcey, Pro-Vice Chancellor (International), UNSW. Ms. Pinky Anand, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Additional Solicitor General of India delivered the inaugural address. Mr. Soli Sorabjee, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Former Attorney-General of India was the Guest Speaker. A total of nine Professors from UNSW Law School participated in this conference and numerous faculty members from Jindal Global Law School and other Indian universities also participated.
