Lectures and Seminars

Associate Professor Tarunabh Khaitan, Future Fellow, Melbourne Law School and Professor Pip Nicholson, Dean, Melbourne Law School from University of Melbourne

On 13 August 2018, Associate Professor Tarunabh Khaitan delivered a lecture on “Directive Principles and the Expressive Accommodation of Ideological Dissenters” at O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat. The lecture was attended by students and faculty from Jindal Global Law School. Tarunabh presented one of his papers which, using India as a case study, argued that constitutional directives can be a useful tool for the expressive accommodation of ideological dissenters who would otherwise lose out in constitutional negotiations in deeply divided societies.
