Dr. Suruchi Singh is an Assistant Professor of Marketing Communication at the Jindal School of Journalism & Communication (JSJC), O.P. Jindal Global University. She holds a PhD in Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A), ranked among the world's top institutions in Business and Management Studies. She brings an interdisciplinary research and teaching profile that spans marketing communication, digital media, consumer behaviour, and persuasion science.
Her work is published in Scopus Q1 and ABDC A-ranked international journals and she has presented her research at leading international conferences including the American Marketing Association Annual Conference (Chicago), the Academy of Marketing Annual Conference (University of Birmingham, UK), and Transformative Consumer Research (London).
Prior to joining academia, Dr. Singh spent over seven years in senior management roles in India's banking and financial services sector. As Senior Manager and Policy Head at Axis Bank, she led communications strategy and policy design across retail and wholesale microfinance channels. As Manager (Product & Policy) at ICICI Bank, she shaped rural banking products and brand communication for underserved markets. This industry background spanning corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and financial inclusion directly informs her research and her teaching, which consistently bridges scholarly rigour with applied professional insight.
Her research interests include digital advertising and media ethics, message framing and persuasion, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and social identity, sustainability communication, food marketing, and consumer behaviour in digital environments.
