Namit Hans is an educator, researcher, and learning experience designer whose work lies at the intersection of media, technology, communication, and education. With over a decade of professional experience across academia, journalism, and corporate learning, he brings a multidisciplinary and practice-oriented perspective to teaching, research, and curriculum design.
Before joining academia full-time, Namit worked as a journalist with organizations like The Indian Express, covering politics, governance, and public affairs. He later served as Assistant Professor at the University of Delhi. His subsequent work with organisations such as Wiley, upGrad, and Verizon has focused on designing innovative learning experiences, leading cross-functional teams, and integrating emerging technologies into educational practice. More recently, he has been actively exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence in learning design, developing AI-enabled solutions and workflows that enhance learner engagement and instructional effectiveness.
His doctoral research examines the dynamics of outrage in short-form social media videos and their implications for digital public discourse. His broader research interests include digital media, social media cultures, media literacy, learning sciences, and the evolving relationship between technology and society. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals, delivered invited lectures at institutions including the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and contributed to children's books published by Scholastic India on subjects such as Indian politics.
Drawing upon experiences from the newsroom, the classroom, and the corporate world, Namit seeks to bridge academic inquiry with professional practice, encouraging students to critically engage with contemporary media ecosystems while developing the analytical and practical skills required in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
