The B.Sc. (Hons.) Environment and Sustainable Development programme at JSES offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wide range of subjects related to sustainable development. In the fourth semester, students take courses such as research methods and strategies for natural resource management, sustainable agricultural practices and food security, poverty and inequality, and restoration ecology and conservation science, among others.

In addition to the core courses, students also have the opportunity to take elective courses such as climate, energy, and global environmental law and animal rights. The programme also includes a 4-credit summer internship, during which students gain practical experience in the field of sustainable development. In the final year of the programme, students undertake a dissertation on a topic related to sustainable development.

The pedagogy of the B.Sc. (Hons.)
