Samudranil has completed his B.A. (Hons.) in English from University of Calcutta, and M.A. in English from Presidency University, Kolkata. He has completed his M.Phil. from Centre for English Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (JNU). He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Centre for English Studies at JNU.
His area of research interests includes Samuel Beckett studies, twenty first century world literature, aesthetics and biopolitics. He is also interested in world cinema and cinema studies.
