Prof. Varsha holds LL.M.s from both Queen Mary University of London in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution as well as from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai (TISS) in Access to Justice. She completed her B.L.S LL.B. from Government Law College, Mumbai.

She started her career as a Reservist in British Council Teach India CSR Group, Times of India, Mumbai. She then worked for a year as a Lecturer in K. C. Law College, Mumbai where she taught company law. After completing her first Master’s from TISS, she joined as Legal Consultant for IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access) for its Mumbai and Gujarat chapter. As part of this endeavor, she contributed towards developing an attractive concept for law as a career in marginalized communities and also interviewed students to give them training for the Common Law Admission Test.

During her undergraduate studies, she was the General Secretary of the Legal Aid Committee at GLC, Mumbai. She also has experience working at the Byculla Women’s Prison, Mumbai, where she conducted research to understand the health care system in the prison and the issues faced by under-trials in the prison system.

Her fields of interest are international arbitration, corporate law and maritime law.
