Prof. Prakhar Narain Singh Chauhan

Prof. Prakhar Chauhan graduated in law, from the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow. He is a post graduate in law from the School of International Arbitration, Queen Mary, University of London.

Mr. Chauhan was associated with PLR Chambers in the Investment and Trade team and has advised the Ministry of Commerce and Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance. He has also worked as a Senior Consultant to Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. Prior to the joining the IICA, he has worked with Fox & Mandal, Singh & Associates, and also with Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.M. Ahmadi, in the capacity of his research assistant.

He specializes in International Commercial Arbitration, Investment Arbitration and International Construction Arbitration. He has represented the Ministry of Petroleum (Directorate General of Hydrocarbons), Ministry of Defence, NHAI, and various Public Sector Enterprises and private parties in various International Commercial and Construction Arbitrations, before various fora including the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
