Prof. (Dr.) Nisha Nair is an Associate Professorof English and Assistant Dean, Office of Academic Affairs at Jindal Global Law School and a Fellow at International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building (IIHEd) at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). Her doctoral research focussed on educational policy, quality and employability in the context of Higher Education. She has a double masters in English Literature and Education and specialises in Educational Planning and Administration.

As a Fellow at IIHEd she has been a key contributor and co-author of the State Higher Education Plan for Haryana under Rashtriya Ucchatar Shiksha Abhiyan and a book titled The Education President: Insititution Building for Nation Building published by Universal Law Publishing (Lexis Nexis) in the year 2017. Most recently, she was engaged in developing an implementation plan for the National Education Policy for Higher Education (2021). Her research work explores issues of gender equality, education policy, quality and strategies to enhance educational outcome in tertiary education.

Prof. Nair joined O.P. Jindal Global University in the year 2014 and is the founding Faculty Coordinator for Gender Studies Group under the Centre for Law and Humanities and JGU Book Club under the Literary and Fine Arts Society.
