Prof. Abhimanyu Singh is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School. He holds an LLM from the Australian National University, and a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree from National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi.
Prior to joining JGLS, he was with the Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU), Tiruchirappalli, first as a Fellow with the Centre for Research and Writing (CRW) for a few months, before being upgraded as an Assistant Professor with the university. At TNNLU, he has taught various courses in International Law, both at the postgraduate and undergraduate level, and has drafted several new courses in niche areas of International Law to be taught at the university.
Abhimanyu has also worked as a Teaching Associate with the NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad for a year where he has taught an undergraduate elective course on International Security Law.
In 2019, Abhimanyu organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on International Law at TNNLU, which is the first FDP on International Law to be organized by a National Law University in India. In the same year, he attended the United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Asia-Pacific which is organized by the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs in cooperation with the Government of Thailand and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Abhimanyu is passionate about promoting the India-Australia relationship and actively participates in events that foster this relationship.
His research interests lie in the Concept of Security in International Law, Security Institutions and the International Rule of Law, Non-traditional Security and International Law, International Law of Peacekeeping, New Technologies and the Law of Armed Conflict, Legal Aspects of Hybrid Warfare, International Law and Military Operations in Space, International Law applicable to Cyber-Warfare, and International Criminal Law.
- Abhimanyu is an Assistant Professor of Law at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University, where he primarily researches and teaches courses in public international law at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Previously, he has worked as an Assistant Professor with the Tamil Nadu National Law University and as a Teaching Associate with the NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. He has designed and taught specialised elective courses in public international law at both institutions.
- He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the Australian National University, and a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi.
- Abhimanyu is also a Fellow with the Centre for International Legal Studies (CILS) at the university.
