The Centre for Women’s Rights Studies at JGU, in collaboration with the JGU-FGM Project, Equality Now, and WeSpeakOut cordially invite you to the all-day event – ‘JGU FOR CHANGE: ZERO TOLERANCE of FGM to commemorate the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation on February 6, 2025.

The theme for this year is : Strengthening Alliances and Building Movements to End FGM.
Venue: The Buddha Quadrangle – Behind T1 lift.

Exhibition – 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Performances, Guest-Speeches, and Screening - 6:30 pm onwards.

Sponsored by Equality Now, this event aims to foster awareness, amplify advocacy efforts, and spark meaningful discussions on legislative and societal reforms to eradicate FGM. The day’s itinerary includes:

• An interactive all-day exhibition showcasing powerful narratives and intriguing installations @ the Buddha Quadrangle;
• A documentary screening;
• Two Guest Speakers;
• A community mural painting to symbolize our collective stand against FGM;
• Performances by –
  • Thadeem (The Traditional Dance Society at JGU);
  • Music Society – JGU; and
  • A Nukkad Naatak by the Theatre Society; and
• A reading circle as a part of the exhibition
