The lecture will be delivered by Gauri Anand,  who will speak on the topic “The BBNJ Agreement - Science-Based and Equitable Stewardship in the High Seas". Gauri is an environmental lawyer, currently on retainer at the Ministry of Earth Sciences, advising on ocean governance, the blue economy, and the operationalisation of the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement) in India.
