The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) guest lecture addressing one of the most challenging issues in contemporary international arbitration. The topic of the lecture was, "Corruption Allegations in International Arbitration" by speaker Prof. Yarik Kryvoi, Senior Fellow in International Economic Law & Director, Investment Treaty Forum British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) Of Counsel, Keidan Harrison LLP Co-Director, Arbitration Lab. The lecture examined the complex intersection of corruption allegations and international arbitration proceedings. Prof. Kryvoi explored how corruption claims are addressed in arbitral proceedings, the evidentiary challenges they present, and their impact on the integrity of the arbitration process. Given the increasing prevalence of such allegations in high-stakes international disputes, this session offered crucial insights for understanding modern arbitration practice.
