Jarin Tasnim Urbi is a lecturer at Jindal Global Law School. She is from Bangladesh and completed her LL.B. and LL.M. from Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Soon after that she opted for her second LL.M. from Penn State Law, Pennsylvania State University, USA and graduated in 2023 with concentration of Immigration & Migration Law, Public Interest Law and International, Foreign and Comparative Law.

While doing her undergraduate study she worked with various Human Rights organizations including Center for Study Genocide and Justice as a researcher. In that time, she observed closely various dimensions of the topic Genocide and the Rohingya incident. She has completed her independent study focusing on the hardship of proving Rohingya incident as Genocide in International Court of Justice under Professor James Houck, former dean of Penn State Law. She has written article and presented paper on Hate Speech in social media which fuels the conflicts of religious groups and inadequacies of national laws regulating social media.

Her area of interest resides in Human Rights Law, Public International Law, Internal Criminal Law, Refugee Law and Immigration & Migration.
