Medhavi is an LL.M graduate from Penn State Law, USA where she specialised in Intellectual Property Law and International Commercial Arbitration. She received her LL.B degree from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi; holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics (Hons.) from University of Delhi and Master’s from NIFT in Fashion Retail Management. She has also undertaken certification courses in Intellectual Property and Competition Law from ILS (Pune), FICCI and WIPO.
Prior to moving back to academia, she worked as a Legal Associate in the department of Corporate and Compliance Solutions at Thomson Reuters for international clients in the Telecom and Banking sector. At Penn State Law, she worked as a Research Assistant for an International Arbitration expert, Prof. Catherine A. Rogers.
Medhavi has always believed in practical learning and therefore engaged herself in multiple internships during her academic years. Some of the noteworthy ones are judicial internship at chamber of Supreme Court Judge, Justice Chelameswar; legal internship at chamber of Advocate Prashant Bhushan; internships at Intellectual Property law firms; research internship at Consumers India (NGO) and non-legal internships at Tommy Hilfiger, DKNY and Virgin Mobile. Her research interest lies in the area of Intellectual Property Law and Censorship.
