Prior to working with JGU, Mansi was previously working with the Philosophy in Action project at NIAS, Bengaluru. She has completed her master’s from the University of Leiden, Netherlands in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Before her master’s she spent two years with Teach For India as a Teaching Fellow in New Delhi.

Her broad areas of interest are Social and Political Philosophy, Public Philosophy and Ethics. Within these broad themes, her specific competence lies in the domain of Political Legitimacy, Distributive Justice, Just War Theory, and the politics of Feminist Epistemology.

Apart from this, she is constantly working towards making the philosophical domain accessible to the public with her work with Barefoot Philosophers.

  • Worked on the research project, ‘Philosophy in Action: Creating Public Citizenship’ under principal supervisor Prof. Sundar Sarukkai at NIAS (National Institute of Advanced Studies), Bengaluru.
  • (2015-2017) Teaching Fellow: Under the teaching fellowship with Teach For India I was responsible for leading more than seven classes (175 students) towards having a sustainable and transformational impact in a low-income private school of Sangam Vihar, New Delhi.
