Ila is an India-qualified lawyer with an Honours Degree in Political Science from Miranda House (Delhi University), a 3-year LLB from the University of Nottingham (UK), and an LLM in International Commercial Laws with Distinction from University College London (UK). Previously, Ila worked as an associate with a boutique law firm (Ikigai Law) for over two years, and then as a public policy associate at one of the largest technology investors in the world (Prosus/Naspers). Additionally, she has completed a Graduate Certificate in Technology Law and Policy from The Takshashila Institution — one of India’s leading public policy think tanks. She also holds an online specialization in Fundamentals and Applications of Financial Technologies. After accumulating over 4.5 years of work experience in the technology law and policy domain, she is keen on pursuing a career in teaching and academia. Her research will focus on the socio-legal impact of emerging technologies in India.
