Yogita is working as a Lecturer in Jindal Global Law School, O.P Jindal Global University.
She did her undergraduate degree in law from NorthCap University, Gurgaon. She then pursued LL.M. in Human Rights from National Law School of India University, Bangalore where she was involved in various research projects at the Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policies. She pursued her interest in interdisciplinary research as an Urban Fellow at Indian Institute for Human Settlements, Bangalore in urban practice.
Following this, she did her MPhil in Criminological Research from University of Cambridge. For MPhil she wrote her thesis on the community justice system in India. Her research interest lies in legal pluralism, informal justice systems and their legitimacy in the post-colonial societies.
