Sweta Lakhani is currently working an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and Research Fellow at Jindal Institute of Behavioral Science for Research (JIBS) at O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed To Be University), Sonipat, Haryana. She has completed her LL.M in Intellectual Property Rights from Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies, O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed To Be University), and B.Com LL. B (Hons.) from Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

As a part of her responsibilities at Jindal, she is currently teaching an elective on “Traditional Knowledge: An Overview on Intellectual Property and Indigenous Knowledge System”. She has assisted in writing research proposals and organizing seminars and conferences. Currently, she has been involved in developing research proposals for projects on the interdisciplinary field of law and behavioral science. She has assisted in editing the chapters and submissions on the final manuscripts on the books titled, “Digital Piracy in India, Serbia, and China: Understanding Psycho-social and Cultural Factors”, “Death Penalty: Global Survey and Position in India” and “Let’s Talk About Depression: India, Australia, USA”. She is involved in Training and Outreach Programs and has trained school principals, teachers, and students on the topics of “Gender Sensitization” and “Importance of Understanding Plagiarism in Education”.

Apart of that, she has authored, co-authored research papers on different topics of Law. She has also presented research papers at various National as well as International forums. She has been felicitated with a gold medal for the achievements in National Moot Court Competition 2014 at Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad.
