An enthusiast in the field of human rights, Sanya holds a master’s (LL.M.) in International Human Rights Law from the University of Leeds, U.K. and a master’s in general laws (LL.M.) from the Pennsylvania State University, U.S.A. She has completed her BSc. LLB (H) degree from Central University of South Bihar and was a recipient of Chancellor’s Gold Medal, Department Gold Medal and School Gold Medal. A recipient of the Best Law Student Award, 2018 (SILF-MILAT), Sanya was a part of the team representing Penn State that won the 26th Williem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna. Her areas of interest are gender studies, feminist theories and intersectional issues. She has qualified UGC-NET (Law) and is enrolled as a doctoral candidate at National Law University, Delhi, researching the topic of rising digital antifeminism in the Global South. Sanya has also worked as a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Women's Rights and Child Rights Clinic at the Jindal Global Law School.
