Saksham Shukla is an Assistant Professor and Associate Dean (Research) at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University. He joined the University in January 2021 after completing his LL.M. in Banking and Finance Law from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. He graduated with distinction from Amity Law School, Noida, where he ranked among the top 5% of his graduating class and was recognised for excellence in academics, internships, and co-curricular activities.
His teaching and research lie at the intersection of insolvency law, corporate finance, and restructuring, with a particular focus on the evolution of the Indian insolvency regime and its comparative dimensions across jurisdictions. His work examines creditor protection, cross-border insolvency, corporate restructuring, and the interaction between insolvency law and financial regulation. At JGLS, Saksham teaches courses in Company Law, Corporate Insolvency Law, International Insolvency Law, Regulation of Corporations, Legal Methods, and Moot Court & Trial Advocacy. As Associate Dean (Research), he facilitates research initiatives and manages the centres, and supports the development of institutional research policies.
In 2024, Saksham was a Visiting Scholar at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), Germany, where he conducted comparative research on insolvency in private international law and the law and economics of insolvency under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Anatol Dutta, Chair of Private Law, Private International Law and Comparative Law. He has also served as Faculty Coordinator for the University of Yamanashi (Japan) Short-Term Study Abroad Programme and regularly coaches students for national and international moot court competitions, particularly on Insolvency Law.
Saksham holds the Foundation Certificate in International Insolvency Law from INSOL International, is an Academic Member of INSOL International, and has been selected as an INSOL Future Leader 2026. His broader academic interests include comparative insolvency law, cross-border restructuring, corporate governance, and the development of efficient and equitable insolvency frameworks.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Saksham enjoys music, reading, and spiritual contemplation. He is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that transcends distinctions of biological sex, gender, sexuality, caste, creed, and colour.
