Srijani Datta is a Lecturer and teaches Sociology at Jindal Global Law School. She holds a Bachelors in Sociology from Hindu College, University of Delhi and a Masters in Sociology from the University of Oxford. She has a keen interest in studying urban governance, mobility and public transport, environmental resource governance and social movements. She is also interested in exploring diverse research methods including time use diaries, geo-spatial methods and participatory research methods.
Srijani has previously worked in the Climate and Ecosystems team at Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy. Srijani was also the curator of Asia's first climate justice themed library in New Delhi housing over 2,000 books on various intersections of environmental law, renewable energy, resource governance, agriculture, natural disasters etc. In the UK, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford conducting mixed-methods policy evaluations in the health and social care sectors.
