Biography

Sonam Narayan is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), O.P. Jindal Global University. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of the K.K. Luthra & Nirmal Luthra Centre for Comparative Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Studies, a role in which she spearheads initiatives that foster a deeper understanding of criminal jurisprudence across diverse legal systems. Her expertise in comparative criminal law is instrumental in shaping the Centre's research agenda and its engagement with global legal challenges.

Further demonstrating her dedication to social justice, Professor Narayan is a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Women’s Rights (CFWR) at JGLS. In this capacity, she is deeply involved in advancing inclusive and intersectional justice for women through rigorous academic inquiry and impactful advocacy. Her research at CFWR focuses on the complex interplay of law, gender, and human rights, seeking to identify and address systemic inequalities and promote equitable legal frameworks. She is particularly interested in developing strategies that empower marginalised communities and ensure their access to justice.
