Sneha is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Law at Jindal Global Law School, where she also serves as Assistant Director of the Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer Centre for Legal Aid. She has previously served as Assistant Director of the Law and Marginalisation Clinic.
With over thirteen years of experience specialising in gender and law, Sneha's work has been dedicated to advancing women's rights and justice through legal advocacy, policy reforms, sensitisation and capacity building. She brings a strong background in international human rights and constitutional law, with a particular focus on gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health rights, rights of transgender and gender-diverse persons, and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at the workplace.
Until August 2022, Sneha served as Director of the Women's Justice Initiative at the Human Rights Law Network in Delhi, where she led a team of lawyers, researchers, and activists in providing legal aid, strategic litigation, and public interest advocacy for women facing discrimination, violence, and injustice. She played an instrumental role in critical legal interventions concerning the right to abortion, prevention of child marriage in India, maternal health and obstetric violence, and access to contraceptive information and services, among other areas. She also led the work of the Centre for Constitutional Rights at HRLN, successfully conducting over thirty International Law Lectures in collaboration with international civil society organisations across the world. She co-authored and published book titled 'My Body My Choice: A Human Rights Perspective on Abortion Laws in India' in 2019.
Sneha has served as an independent consultant to several prestigious organisations, including the Centre for Reproductive Rights, and has held the position of Honorary Council Member for the Delhi Anti-Sexual Harassment Council, Women's India Chamber of Commerce and Industry, India (January–December 2021).
