Prof. Shireen Moti is an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean, Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University), where she teaches courses on Constitutional Law. Her research interests are in the fields of Constitutional Law and International Human Rights Law. Prior to joining JGLS, she worked at Nishith Desai Associates.
She holds an LL.M. degree from the Queen Mary University of London and B.A.LL.B.(Honours) from Jindal Global Law School. She was awarded the Chevening scholarship at QMUL and the merit scholarship at JGLS. Prof. Moti has been working in the area of International Human Rights Law with a focus on access to justice and legal aid for the past 11 years. She is the author of “Guide to LLM Admissions and Scholarships Abroad”(Universal Law Publications & LexisNexis, 2017).
She is the winner of the ‘Women of the Future: 50 Rising Stars in ESG’ International award by Women of the Future U.K. and the Queen Mary University of London Centre for Commercial Legal Studies Alumni Achievers Award. She was recognized as a woman in a leadership position and was invited to attend the ‘Women in Political Leadership’ programme supported by the Chevening Alumni Project Fund.
She was a visiting fellow at the Cornell India Law Centre at Cornell University. She is an associate fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society, U.K. She actively participates in national TV debates and is vocal about the exodus and genocide of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley.
