Sahil Bansal holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree from Jindal Global Law School and a Master of Law (LLM) degree from the University of Cambridge. He has also practised before local courts in India.
His academic interests lie primarily in Indian procedural and substantive law, with particular emphasis on the relationship between statutory frameworks and their interpretation by courts. His areas of interest include Civil Procedure, the Law of Limitation, Criminal Law and Procedure, the Law of Evidence, Family Law, Contract Law, and Property Law. He is particularly drawn to areas of law in which procedural structures, substantive rights, and judicial interpretation operate closely together.
At Jindal Global Law School, he teaches the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. He is interested in examining legal rules not merely as isolated doctrinal provisions, but as parts of wider statutory frameworks and interconnected areas of law.
