Raunaq Jaiswal is an Assistant Professor of Law at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), O.P. Jindal Global University. His research explores comparative constitutionalism, constitutional theory, emergency powers, and the role of courts in authoritarian regimes. At JGLS he teaches constitutional law and property law, supervises LL.M. dissertations, and also leads workshops on academic writing and legal research methodology.
A committed advocate for accessibility and inclusion in higher education, Professor Jaiswal serves as Member Secretary of the Disability Support Committee. He has also served on the editorial board of the Jindal Global Law Review and on the board of the law school’s Moot Court Society. He has also held a Research Fellowship at the Centre for Media, Data and Society, Central European University.
Professor Jaiswal’s scholarship has been published in the Indian Yearbook of Comparative Law. Alongside Max Steuer, he co-edited the “Rethinking Democracy Through Constitutional Adjudication” series on TRAFO: Blog for Transregional Research. Beyond his academic writing, he contributes commentary to the national press on pressing constitutional questions and disability rights.
Professor Jaiswal holds a B.A. LL.B. from Bharti Vidyapeeth University, Pune, and an LL.M. from O.P. Jindal Global University. He read for a further LL.M. in Comparative Constitutional Law at Central European University, Budapest, as a Master's Excellence Scholar, during which he was awarded a CEU research grant to conduct a portion of his research at the University of Oxford.
