Biography

Prof. Raunaq Jaiswal is a legal scholar, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School, where he specializes in teaching property law, and constitutional law. He holds a strong foundation in legal education, having completed his undergraduate studies at New Law College, Pune, in 2014. Prof. Jaiswal further read for his master’s in legal studies, obtaining an LL.M. from Jindal Global Law School (2015-2016) and an LL.M. in Comparative Constitutional Law from Central European University (2019-2020).

Following his graduation in 2016, Prof. Jaiswal joined O.P. Jindal Global University as a researcher, where he worked until 2019, contributing to key research projects focused on comparative emergency law. His scholarly interests include constitutional law, comparative law, and the intersection of law and literature. At O.P. Jindal Global University, Prof. Raunaq Jaiswal contributed to two significant independent research projects: "Courts & Access to Justice" (November 2017 to February 2019) and "Access to Justice" (January 2018 to February 2019) which were useful tools for helping with the in evaluation of the ‘effectiveness’ of justice delivery mechanisms.

In addition to his academic roles, Prof. Raunaq Jaiswal has also served as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Media, Data & Society, Central European University, where he has been affiliated with the Anti-SLAPP Research Group from July 2021 to August 2022. The research identified gaps in current legal frameworks that fail to adequately address SLAPP litigation.
