Professor Nikhil Parikshith is an Associate Professor of Legal Practice at Jindal Global Law School. He enrolled as an Advocate in 2012 and has over a decade of experience in litigation. Since 2020, he has been an Advocate-on-Record before the Supreme Court of India.
Professor Parikshith holds an LL.M. from University College London. He has regularly appeared before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, Karnataka High Court, Madras High Court, and various tribunals, including the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). He has also independently argued matters before several judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
Prior to joining academia, he was associated with the chambers of Abhijat, Sr. Advocate and Justice Manmeet Arora. His litigation practice has encompassed a broad range of subjects, including public law, property law, criminal law, corporate law, commercial law, and arbitration law. He was also an independent lawyer for several years.
At JGLS, Professor Parikshith has taught Administrative Law, Drafting, Pleading and Conveyancing, Introduction to Legal Practice, and Legal Research and Methodology. He also teaches the elective course “Litigation and the Indian Supreme Court.”
His research interests include anti-corruption law, gaming law, contemporary issues in public law, and the practice and procedure of the Supreme Court.
