Biography

Manya Pundhir is an Assistant Professor and Associate Dean of the B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), O.P. Jindal Global University. She completed her B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Christ University, Bengaluru, and obtained an LL.M. in Public International Law from Queen Mary University of London.

Following her LL.M., she practised before the District Courts of Delhi, the High Court of Delhi, the Supreme Court of India, and several other High Courts and District Courts across India, handling matters relating to criminal law, white-collar crime, civil litigation, arbitration, and matrimonial disputes.

Since joining Jindal Global Law School, she has taught a range of law courses, including Contract Law, the Indian Penal Code (now the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita), the Code of Criminal Procedure (now the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita), the Law of Evidence (now the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam), Drafting, Pleading and Conveyancing and Family law.

Her academic interests lie in criminal law and justice, procedural law, the law of evidence, dispute resolution. More recently, she has developed a growing academic interest in privacy and data protection laws.

Alongside her teaching responsibilities, she has held several academic leadership roles at the University. She has previously served as Assistant Dean (Career Services), Assistant Dean (Scholarships), and Programme Head for the B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) programmes. 

She currently serves as the Associate Dean of the B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme, where she oversees programme administration, academic planning, student engagement, and institutional initiatives aimed at enhancing the student learning experience.
