Biography

Prof. Paramjeet Singh is an Associate Professor with ‘O.P. Jindal Global University’ (India) and is an Associate Dean & Associate Director for the LL.M Programme at Jindal Global Law School (“JGLS”). He specializes in Corporate Governance, Corporate Finance, Securities Regulations and Labour & Employment Relations and teaches courses on corporate laws, securities regulations, and labour & employment laws at JGLS.

Experience: Prof. Singh has a wealth of experience working as a legal consultant at various firms and has litigated in the Supreme Court of India and other tribunals in New Delhi. Before joining JGLS, he worked as a corporate lawyer with Fox Mandal & Co. and was part of the corporate law team (M&A, labour laws & corporate advisory). He has trained human resource managers and legal managers of corporations such as Power Grid Corporation of India, Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Thomson Reuters, etc. Prof. Singh has been working in JGLS for approximately 9 years now. He has also delivered an internationally credited course for the ‘China University of Political Science and Law’ (CUPL) in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.

Education Qualification: Prof. Singh received his B.S.L. LL. B degree from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and thereafter was admitted to the Bar Council of Delhi as an advocate. He holds a Master of Laws in ‘European Legal Practices’ from Université de Rouen (France) and Universidade Católica Portuguesa, (Portugal) under the prestigious Erasmus Scholarship program of the European Commission. He is an academic Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), Brussels.

Prof. Singh is a qualified Company Secretary and is a fellow member of the ‘Institute of Company Secretaries of India’ (ICSI) and often visits the institute as a guest speaker. He is also a fellow chartered governance professional of the ‘Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland’ (CGI), London. He is a certified professional and has completed diplomas and certificate courses in various areas such as Corporate Governance, BRSR & ESG, Securities Laws, etc.

Prof. Singh is a qualified independent director and registered with Independent Directors Databank. He is a Fellow of ‘The Institute of Directors, India’. He holds membership in the ‘Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment’ (CISI), London.
