Biography

Ish is an interdisciplinary academic, dual qualified lawyer (India & Scotland), legal consultant, film enthusiast- turned Producer who believes in the adage, "Be part of the change you wish to see". He has been involved in several leadership and capacity building roles and believes in enabling change for the better, in an inclusive and considerate manner. 

His current research interests include International legal structures, Humanitarian law with an emphasis on intersectional outlooks to such institutional structures as well as Conveyancing, Escrow regulations and the relentless search for clean Title deeds within Property law. 

He has been teaching at JGLS for 2 years before which, he was working in real estate (conveyancing) in Scotland while simultaneously working as a ‘changemaker’ for ‘OSCH’, a youth-led programme by Glasgow Life & British Council with a lens of re-interpreting colonial whitewashing and conversations regarding ‘repatriation’ and compensations. He was a core member in running, “verifiedcovidleads.com”, which was an online platform giving real time information to about 2-4 million people daily during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

He also worked as a ‘Research Associate’ for Centre of Human Right Studies while recommending changes and effective implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act of 2013 in lieu of the Vishakha Guidelines.
