Biography

Dr. Satish Kumar is a Lecturer at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat, where he has been a member of the faculty since 2020. His teaching and research interests lie at the intersection of law and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence, Intellectual Property Law, Competition Law, and Technology Regulation.

Dr. Kumar holds a Ph.D. in Law and an LL.M. from the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, and a B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna. He has also qualified the UGC-JRF.

Prior to joining Jindal Global Law School, Dr. Kumar worked as a Legal Associate at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, one of India's leading Tier-1 law firms. He later served as an Assistant Professor at Gautam Buddha University. During his professional career, he was also associated with the Department of Health, Government of Madhya Pradesh, where he represented the Department in legal proceedings and contributed to the drafting of public health policies.

Dr. Kumar is the author of the book Recent Supreme Court Judgments, which provides analytical insights into significant decisions of the Supreme Court of India. His research has been widely published in reputed Scopus-indexed journals, primarily examining the evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence and law. His scholarly work has been recognised at the national level, with one of his publications being cited in a report of NITI Aayog.

Dr. Kumar has presented his work at leading global institutions. His recent presentations include research on Artificial Intelligence and Elections at the University of the Philippines, Manila; Artificial Intelligence and Copyright Law at Middlesex University; and Artificial Intelligence and Competition Law at Abu Dhabi University.
