Biography

Ashaawari is a registered advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi previously practicing in the District Courts, High Court of Delhi and the Supreme Court of India. She has also previously been a fellow and  the Director of the Centre for Research and Analysis of Finance, Technology and Law (CRAFT & Law).She is interested in research around intellectual property rights focussing on disputes in copyright, policy, regulation of OTT platforms and entertainment laws. She also writes on corporate laws. She has an interest in teaching courses on foreign exchange regulation(FEMA 1999),disputes around  non- performing assets (SARFAESI ACT 2002), insolvency and bankruptcy (IBC 2016) ,OTT regulations and policy, entertainment laws, celebrity rights and intellectual property rights.
