Biography

Arushi Singh is an Assistant Professor of Legal Practice at the Jindal Global Law School. She holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree from National Law Institute University, Bhopal in 2013, followed by an LL.M. in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from the National University of Singapore (2021-22). 

Before joining JGLS, Arushi has worked across both the public and private sector, first as in-house counsel at a public sector insurance company and later as a Policy Consultant at a prominent Delhi-based Public Policy and Research firm. She is a fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. 

Her research focuses on disability studies and human rights. She recently co-authored a report analyzing the gaps between child rights legislation and disability legislation titled 'Disability and Child Protection Laws in India: A Study of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 and Disability Laws.' Arushi was also successful in her petition before the Supreme Court praying for specific guidelines on the treatment of passengers with disabilities before the Supreme Court.

Arushi regularly contributes opinion editorial pieces in leading newspapers like Deccan Herald and Hindustan Times.
