Pratik Purswani is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School, where he teaches Public International Law, International Human Rights Law and Theory, and Environmental Law. He also serves as an Assistant Dean with the Centre for Postgraduate Legal Studies and is a Research Fellow at the Environmental Law Clinic.
He holds an LL.M. in Public International Law from Leiden University, where his thesis examined the need for a new environmental dispute resolution body. He has completed his LL.B. from Symbiosis Law School (Pune).
His research focuses on the intersection of international law, environmental law, and human rights, with a particular interest in climate-induced displacement, environmental security, and the legal frameworks for protecting natural resources during armed conflict. He has published in leading journals such as the Journal of International Humanitarian Legal Studies (JIHLS) and Climate Law. He is also an Assistant Editor with Jindal Global Law Review (JGLR).
Pratik is also an Incoming Visiting Fellow (2025) at the Southampton Institute of Arts and Humanities, where he will explore interdisciplinary perspectives on disruptive climate protests and international human rights law.
