Biography

Prachi is working as an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School. She joined O.P. Jindal Global University in 2020 as a Teaching and Research for Intellectual Pursuit (TRIP) Fellow. 

Currently, she is also serving as Member Secretary (Compliance) for the JGU Committee on Gender Sensitization against Sexual Harassment. 

She obtained her B.A. LL.B. degree from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi in 2019. She earned her Masters in Law degree with a specialization in Intellectual Property Rights from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat in the year 2020. Her dissertation was titled “Copyright Infringement on Social Media: An Analytical Study between USA, UK, and India”. She has qualified UGC NET for Assistant Professor twice, in 2020 and 2021. Prachi is also pursuing her Ph.D. in Law from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun.

She has also presented and authored several research papers relating to social media and copyright, counterfeiting, domain names, FRAND royalties, designer babies, gender neutral laws etc. Prachi’s primary areas of interest include Intellectual Property Rights, Criminal Law, and Family Law.

Presented a research paper titled “Violence Against Men: Need for Gender Neutral Laws in India”, in the National Seminar on Law and Social Transformation in India held on 25th January 2020 organized by Navrachna University, Vadodara.
