Nishtha is currently pursuing a career as a TRIP Fellow at our organization, where she will enhance her research as well as academic potential and commence her journey in academic field. She has obtained a B.A L.L.B. (Hons.) degree from Panjab University Regional Centre (Ludhiana), a department of Panjab University (Chandigarh), in the year 2019. Further, she obtained her LLM Degree with a specialization in Intellectual Property Rights from Gujarat National Law University, in 2020. She also qualified NET in December 2019. She wrote her LLM Dissertation on ‘The Global Menace of Counterfeiting: A critical study of Trademark regime in India to combat counterfeiting.’ Throughout her law course, she has presented and authored several research papers pertaining to different aspects of law such as ‘Decoding the Interplay of Standard Essential Patents and Competition Law: An Indian Perspective’ ; ‘John Doe Order: An analysis of Judicial Approach in India to combat Copyright Piracy’ ; ‘Need of the Hour: ‘Efficiently’ interpreting efficacy under Section 3(d) of the Patents Act 1970’ , Therapeutic Cloning , Triple Talaq and Homosexuality. Her areas of interest include Intellectual Property Law and Constitutional law. Apart from academics, Nishtha has an inclination towards extra-curricular and cultural activities as well.
