Biography

Dr. Mohit Verma is an Assistant Professor in the Finance & Accounting Area at the O.P. Jindal Global University. He holds a doctorate from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in commerce from the University of Delhi. He is a recipient of the award of UGC Junior Research Fellowship. His teaching interests include Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, and Behavioural Finance. His research interests include behavioural biases, herding in financial markets, earnings management, and the ESG impact on corporate metrics. He has published several papers in ABDC & Scopus-indexed journals and has presented his research at major national and international conferences such as the World Finance Conference-Norway, British Accounting Review Global Conference-Cape Town, PAN IIM Conference, INDAM, etc. He won several Best Paper awards at national and international conferences. He holds experience as a teaching assistant at IIM Sambalpur.
