Biography

Malika Galib Shah is a legal academic, researcher, and gender specialist with over a decade of experience at the intersection of human rights, gender justice, child rights, and public policy. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at O.P. Jindal Global University, where she teaches and conducts research in law and social justice. A Chevening Scholar, Malika holds an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from University College London and is a Gold Medallist in Law from University of Kashmir.

Her professional experience spans academia, legislative reform, and international development, including contributions to reforms of India’s Medical Termination of Pregnancy framework, juvenile justice systems, and gender-responsive governance initiatives with organizations such as United Nations Development Programme. She has led research, policy analysis, stakeholder consultations, and capacity-building programs across diverse sectors. Malika is also a published scholar with multiple Scopus-indexed publications focusing on human rights, criminal law, technology, gender, and social justice.
