Biography

Lakshmi Srinivasan is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University. She has done B.A. LL.B. (Hons. in Business Law) from NMIMS School of Law, Mumbai and has a ‘Distinction’ in LL.M. from King’s College, London specializing in Intellectual Property and Information Law. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS).

At JGLS, she has conducted courses on wide ranging subjects from Environment Law and International Aviation Law, Technology Law, Music and Copyright apart from teaching Intellectual Property Rights. On the administrative front, she has worked as an Assistant Dean for Examinations and Assessments and for the Office of International Collaborations at JGLS. She has also served as the Assistant Proctor for O.P. Jindal Global University until 2023. 

Lakshmi’s research work centers around the liability of internet intermediaries and their impact on the techno-legal discourse. She also has research interests in laws concerning International Civil Aviation. She has published articles in international journals of repute and occasionally writes in her personal blog explaining legalese in simple English for non-legal and legal professionals.

Lakshmi is a trained Carnatic classical singer with a first class in Grade IV examination in classical music from Annamalai University. She is proficient in English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and currently learns Korean.
